Charles Mastro

Welcome to the Town of Sherburne, NY

I have been on the Town Board since 1994 and I’m currently serving as the Town Supervisor since 2010. During my time on the Board, I have served as liaison to the Town of Sherburne Public Library, the Town of Sherburne Planning Board and OFC Grant Oversight Committee. I am an active dairy farmer, working the farm my family established in 1850.

Our Town of 4,000 residents is home to the Rogers Environmental Center, Gaines Memorial Park with its bandstand, Rexford Falls, Paddleford Park and the Town Public Library which is housed in a historic building in the Village and is part of the 4-County Library System. We have a Historic Park which houses our rich history. On the Historic Park property is the new outdoor ice skating rink to be enjoyed during the winter months. We are home of the Sherburne-Earlville Central School system, which is highly respected for the quality education our children receive.

The Town is connected to Sherburne Municipal Electric system. We host the Pageant of Bands which grows our Town by thousands of visitors the 1st Saturday in June every year. Our historic Sherburne Inn is in the process of being restored through a combination of grants and many local contributions. Rotary sponsors a Music in the Park series each summer. The Sherburne Music/Theater Society and The Earlville Opera House provide year-round entertainment for our residents and the many visitors who flock here to share these treasures with us. Our weekly Newspaper, The Sherburne News, keeps us informed on local activities.

Our Town provides many services and products. We are situated at the crossroads of Rt 80 East and West and Route 12 North and South making for easy access for travel and commerce.

Sincerely,
Charles Mastro
