Responsibilities of the Highway Department
The Highway Department is responsible for the upkeep of town streets and sidewalks, including paving, cleaning, and snow removal. The Highway Department also maintains all town parks and mows town properties.
The Highway Department also runs:
- Year-Round Yard Waste Collection
- Spring Cleanup
- Fall Loose Leaf Pickup Program

No Parking Ordinance
From November 1 to April 15, parking on town streets from 1 to 7 a.m. is prohibited so that streets may be clear for fire protection and snow removal. Cars parked in violation of this ordinance may be ticketed and/or towed at the owner’s expense.
